TEAM ROSTERS
Play with only your teammates and regular subs, especially for playoffs. A finalized roster will be needed before the playoffs start. If you’re the captain, you need to invite your team so they can view the schedule. Unfortunately, the roster can’t be updated via the app so we recommend using a desktop or browser to access the dashboard to add your teammates.
- If they have played here in the past, you will need to “invite player” via their email address
- If they have NOT played here before, you will need to “add player” so you can create a new account for them
- If you are returning with the SAME team, you can “copy players” to add them to your new roster. Check the boxes of the players you want to move over to your new team
SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitute players are always welcome, especially if a teammate can’t make a week. Play with only your teammates and regular subs, especially for playoffs. A finalized roster will be needed before the playoffs start. If you have a long-term substitute player, please add them to your roster.
If you have questions about substitutes or any issues with team rosters, please contact us.

As a player, how do I view our team schedule?

WEATHER POLICY
For frequently asked questions about the weather policy, please reference more information below, along with some common questions and answers for both outdoor leagues’ weather policy and indoor leagues’ weather policy.
OUTDOOR LEAGUES
Since the weather can change so quickly, all cancellations or delays are determined on game day at 5pm. If you don’t hear from us at 5pm, games will be played as originally scheduled. For outdoor leagues, we will play in the rain but will delay, then cancel for lightning.
All cancellations and delays will be emailed to the captains but also posted in our “Skyline Outdoor Leagues” Facebook group and Facebook page. The canceled games will also be updated in the app & online schedule.
If players have opted into text messages, we will also send out text notifications to the teams scheduled for that night. We do NOT have availability to make up games but any cancellations will not hurt or help your standings. You will play at your scheduled game time the next week.
TEXT MESSAGE ALERTS
If you want to receive text messages for any weather delays or cancellations, there are a few ways to sign up for text alerts.
TEXT OPT-IN'S DURING REGISTRATION
When you registered your team, you entered a phone number and should have received an automated message (usually immediately). If you did NOT reply YES, then you are have not yet opted into text messages.
TEXT OPT-IN'S AFTER REGISTRATION
To opt-in to text messages after registration:
- Log into your dashboard
- If you are logged in on your phone, click the “My account navigation” link, which expands the menu of options.
- After you click into “Text message settings,” you are given the option to add your cell phone number.
- After you enter your cell phone number (no hyphens), it will send you a verification code and you will still need to reply with “YES”.
What happens if there is bad weather?
What's the quickest way to get updates on weather delays & cancellations?
- Opt-in while registering (you must reply YES to actually opt-in)
- OR opt-in later by logging into your dashboard
If your question wasn’t answered here, contact us and we’ll find an answer as soon as possible. Or reach out directly to our league coordinator: 218-520-0539 or leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com.
INDOOR LEAGUES
Minnesotans are meant for winter weather. But if it’s starting to act like the Halloween blizzard of 1991, still plan to play and we will let you know by 5pm if leagues will be canceled. For traditional bowling leagues, the league president makes the call, based on make-up game availability and the teams’ preferences. The president will communicate directly with all team captains.
For frequently asked questions about the weather policy, please reference some common questions with answers below. If your question wasn’t answered here, contact us and we’ll find an answer as soon as possible. Or reach out directly to our league coordinator: 218-520-0539 or leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com.
GAME FORFEITS
OUTDOOR LEAGUES
Team bailed on you? Made other plans? Got scheduled to work? Scared of the competition? Can’t stand the rain? Whatever your reason (or excuse) for missing out on a night of fun, please let us know in advance if you can’t make your game!
If you need to forfeit, the best way to let us know is by contacting our league coordinator. Be sure to include your team name, sport, and game time when leaving a voicemail or sending a message. The sooner you can notify us about a forfeit, the better. This will allow us time to notify the other team in advance. RSVPing through the app only notifies the team captain about their players’ absences. Please do not use the app to try to let us know about a forfeit.
If your team cannot make a scheduled game, please let us know in advance, so your opponent doesn’t show up and can’t play. Call 218-520-0539 or email our league coordinator (leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com) in advance so we can let the other team know. If your team forfeits, the team captain should pay our league coordinator at the next game to cover the ref (for both your team and the other team’s fees).
To forfeit, please let us know in advance: call directly at 218-520-0539 or email at leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com.
FORFEIT FEES
Even if you notify us in advance, you will still need to pay the forfeit fee the following week. The forfeiting team will be responsible for both their own and their opponents’ ref fees for the week that they are absent. Fees are to be paid to our league coordinator, at your next week’s game. Please pay the fee to the league coordinator (and not the refs) to help ensure the payment is marked as completed. Forfeit fees per league listed below:
- Volleyball: $14/team
- Bean Bags: $9/team
- Bocce Ball: $6/team
FORFEITS & STANDINGS
Forfeiting will impact your team’s league standing. When you forfeit, you automatically lose the points for that game. Your opponent is automatically awarded a win and the points for that game (3 points for bocce ball and volleyball. 2 points for bean bags). If a team forfeits more than 3 times in a season, they contacted and potentially removed from the league.
As always, we want your team to play & have a good time at Skyline! It’s never fun to be the team that show ups only to find out that you can’t play. No one likes a no show so let us know in advance if you need to forfeit.
How do I forfeit a game?
If you forfeit, please find the league coordinator at your next game to pay your forfeit fee to cover the ref (for both your team and the other team’s fees).
Is it still considered a forfeit if we let you know in advance?
How do forfeit fees work?
Even if you notify us in advance, you will still need to pay the forfeit fee the following week. The forfeiting team will be responsible for both their own and their opponents’ ref fees for the week that they are absent. Fees are to be paid to Ben, our league coordinator, at your next week’s game. Please pay Ben the fee (and not the refs) to help ensure the payment is marked as completed. Forfeit fees per league listed below:
- Volleyball: $14/team
- Bean Bags: $9/team
- Bocce Ball: $6/team
INDOOR LEAGUES
If you need to miss scheduled games for our indoor leagues (bowling leagues, duckpin leagues, or cribbage leagues), please contact our league coordinator in advance: call 218-520-0539 or leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com. If a team misses a few nights in a row without giving us a heads up, your team’s spot could be replaced with a waitlist team.
If you have questions about forfeits or missing a scheduled league night, please contact the league coordinator at 218-520-0539 or leagues@skylinesocialandgames.com.
