SIGN UP FOR SUMMER LEAGUES!

SUMMER LEAGUES POSTPONED - START JUNE 1

Due to the extended stay-at-home orders and uncertainty of the pandemic, all summer leagues are postponed to start Monday, June 1!

What does that mean?

  • Team registration is still open. If your team hasn’t registered yet, sign up now!
  • Volleyball leagues – postponed to start Monday, June 1 – Thursday, June 4.
  • Volleyball captains’ meeting – tentatively postponed to Wed, May 27. We’re considering a virtual meeting.
  • Bocce ball – postponed to Tuesday, June 2 – Thursday, June 4 (postponed 1 week, starting the same week as volleyball).
  • Bean bags – Monday leagues still start June 1. Tuesday bags are postponed to June 2 (they originally started May 26 so now start 1 week later).
  • College volleyball leagues –  postponed to Monday, June 1.
  • Spikeball leagues – still scheduled to start Sunday, June 7.
  • High School volleyball leagues – still scheduled to start for Sunday, June 7.

As of now, restaurants, bars, and entertainment activities are still required to be closed until Sunday, May 31. If anything changes about leagues, teams will be notified. If you need more information, please email info@skylinelanes.com or call 218-727-8555.

ABOUT SKYLINE SUMMERS

In the Northland, summers are short but the days are long so get out and play! Join over 500 teams weekly for volleyball, spikeball, bean bags, or bocce ball. Most volleyball leagues are co-ed, but we also offer separate leagues for women’s-only volleyball, college volleyball, and high school volleyball leagues. With rec, intermediate lower, intermediate upper, and advanced divisions, there’s a league that will fit your team’s skills. Escape reality each week and play this summer! Summer league registration starts in March, early bird savings end in April, and leagues start in early May! Playoffs start in mid-August and the season ends in early September (13-15-week season, depending on the night). If you have questions about leagues, please contact us!

BOWLING LEAGUES

NEW DUCKPIN LEAGUES

With limited spots available, the first Duckpin league is NOW FULL with 15 total teams! If you missed out on the league, contact us and we will add you to the waitlist for this league or next league.

This first spring Duckpin league is Wednesdays March-April and future league dates will be announced soon. In the meantime, learn more about these new, 8-week Duckpin leagues. Please reach out if you have any questions or need more info about the leagues.

WEEKLY & EVERY OTHER WEEK LEAGUES

Skyline hosts winter bowling leagues only on weeknights and there are usually lanes available for public bowling, depending on the night. Check out the weeknight lane availability!

To join a bowling league, contact us and your team will be added to a waitlist or a league president will reach out. Prior team registration is required to bowl in leagues. Learn more about the different bowling leagues each day!

SUMMER TOURNAMENTS

FOUR TOURNAMENTS EVERY YEAR!

Summerfest – Sat, Jul 18, 2020

The Summerfest tournament is will be held the 3rd Saturday of July during Hermantown’s Summerfest week (Saturday, July 18, 2020). Play volleyball (rec, int. lower, or int. upper), bocce ball, and bean bags to win cash prizes! The bags tournament will be a fundraiser this year for the Hawks Blue Line Club so play for a good cause! The Summerfest tournament is a fun-filled day with drinks specials and our deck is the perfect place to watch the Duluth Airshow!

Skyline Open – Sat, Aug 8, 2020

The Skyline Open tournament will be held the second Saturday in August (Saturday, August 8, 2020). In the morning, we start playing volleyball with drink-in-hand, rec, intermediate lower, and intermediate upper divisions for the tournament. In the afternoon, we start bean bags, bocce ball, and drink-in-hand volleyball, which is the ultimate rec league volleyball where all players must hold drinks while playing!

Fall Free for All – Sat, Sep 12, 2020

After a summer of playing in Skyline?s summer leagues, we will celebrate the season with a Fall FREE for All appreciation tournament will be the Saturday after Labor Day weekend (Saturday, September 12, 2020). This will be the last volleyball, bocce ball, and bean bag tournament of the year and is a THANK YOU to everyone who played up at Skyline this summer! The tournament is free to all summer league players, but prior registration is required to play in the tournament.

Spikeball Fundraiser Tournament – Sun, Sep 13, 2020

On Sunday, September 13, 2020, we will also host the 3rd annual Spikeball fundraiser tournament to help ?Spike Out? ALS. The Spikeball tournament will be played in the SAND at Skyline Lanes & Volleyball! Teams of two players and the tournament will be round robin with seeded playoffs. All proceeds will be donated to Never Surrender?s Black Woods Blizzard Tour, which benefits those afflicted by ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

FALL LEAGUES

FALL VOLLEYBALL, BEAN BAGS, BOCCE BALL

When summer starts coming to an end, that doesn’t mean the outdoor fun needs to! Fall outdoor leagues are either Wednesdays (volleyball & bean bags) or Thursdays (volleyball & bocce ball). Outdoor leagues start in mid-September with 3 weeks of regular season games + 1 week of playoffs (ending in October). LEAGUES FOR ALL SEASONS

Skyline has leagues and tournaments for all seasons!

BOWLING LEAGUES

Winter leagues include every-other-week bowling leagues, such as Brews + Bowling craft beer league, Poker bowling, and Coors Light bowling. Traditional weekly bowling leagues are available and run by league presidents.

SUMMER LEAGUES

In the summers, leagues run May-Sep with bean bags (advanced and rec), bocce ball, spikeball, and volleyball (rec, intermediate lower, intermediate upper, advanced, college, high-school on Sundays, and women?s-only divisions).

FALL LEAGUES

When the season changes to fall, we have a shortened 4-week outdoor league (mid-Sep to mid-Oct) with volleyball, bean bags, and bocce ball leagues.

SUMMER TOURNAMENTS

Over the summer, four outdoor tournaments are hosted on the weekends for volleyball, bocce ball, bean bags, and spikeball.?
